Benedictine Community of Saint Gregory the Great at Downside- Downside Abbey is a Roman Catholic monastery. It is the home of a community of Benedictine monks, and on this website they shall try and give some idea of what a Benedictine monk is, why they have come to live together to live in a community, what they believe in and what they do.
