Urgent Action Network- AI was founded on the principle that by writing a letter, one could save a life. The Urgent Action Network carries on this work today. UA participants receive timely information on prisoners of conscience who need help right now. They write letters to bring attention and publicity to their cases. AI groups, church groups, schools, professional groups, and individuals all participate in the Urgent Action Network.
